Dates are shown exactly as they appear in the state data. “Industry” is our best guess from the business name or filing; many names don’t reveal a trade, so those show as Unclassified.

How it works

Public records in, a clean county list out, once a week.

1

We collect new filings

New business filings are pulled from the Florida Sunbiz registry every day.

2

We clean and split

Duplicates, shell companies and mass filers are filtered out, and the rest is split by county.

3

We flag contractors

New contractors are checked against DFS workers’ comp proof-of-coverage records.

4

You get a CSV weekly

Your county’s list arrives every Monday morning. Open it, sort it, start calling.

Questions

Where does the data come from?

Public Florida state records: new business filings from the Sunbiz registry, and workers’ comp coverage records from the Florida Department of Financial Services (DFS) proof-of-coverage database. We clean, filter and organize them; we don’t scrape private sources.

How often do I get a list, and in what format?

Weekly. Your county’s new filings arrive as a CSV every Monday morning.

Can I cancel?

Yes, anytime. It’s $49 a month per county with no long-term commitment.

What does “max 3 agencies per county” mean?

We sell each county’s list to no more than three agencies. Once a county is full, we’ll say so on this page.

What does “no active policy” mean?

For new contractors we search the DFS proof-of-coverage database. “No active policy” means DFS showed no active workers’ comp policy on record for that business at the time of the check. It is a lead signal, not a legal finding.

Are phone numbers included?

Not at the moment. The state records give business names, addresses, entity type, filing date and, where published, owner or officer names. The DFS coverage data does not include phone numbers.

Which counties are available?

Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, Orange and Hillsborough today. More counties are available on request.

About NewBizFlorida

Built from public records

Every row traces back to a public Florida state record: Sunbiz filings and DFS coverage data.

Made for independent agencies

We do one thing: turn the weekly flood of new Florida filings into a short, usable list for the agent in that county.

Honest about the data

We filter out the noise, say when a field isn’t published, and mark our industry labels as guesses.

In the first week we collected (Oct 15–21, 2026), the Sunbiz registry logged 18,105 new Florida business filings, before our cleaning and county split.
